Gillum Ferguson

Director of Communications and Media

Gillum serves as director of communications and media, where he designs and executes robust communications campaigns to advance clients’ goals through strategic messaging, earned media, and digital targeting.

Gillum brings experience from numerous roles at the intersection of politics and public policy in Washington, DC, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He has overseen strategic messaging, coalitions, and speechwriting at the U.S. Department of Education and in the U.S. Senate, in addition to positions in journalism, federal campaigns, and issue advocacy.

As press secretary for Tennessee Governor Bill Lee in 2020, Gillum served as the primary on-record spokesman for the governor during the COVID-19 pandemic, two tornadoes, and the Nashville bombing. He previously served as spokesman for the Tennessee Republican Party in support of Marsha Blackburn and Bill Lee’s successful campaigns for U.S. Senate and Governor, respectively.

Gillum is a graduate of the University of Virginia and resides with his wife in Arlington, Virginia.
