Michael Joffrion
Political and Grassroots Manager
Michael, known to many as Joff, serves as Political and Grassroots Manager at Baker Group Strategies, where he serves as advisor and strategist providing custom campaign, grassroots planning and execution. A veteran operative, he brings decades of political experience at the federal, state, and local level to Baker Group.
Michael got his start in campaigning by building grassroots programs and applying data and analytics while working for presidential campaigns in Iowa, the RNC’s Victory program in Missouri, and the United Kingdom’s House of Commons.
He went on to serve as the Political Director for the Alabama Republican Party from 2008 to 2012. In that role, he formulated and executed the political plan that led the ALGOP to take control of the Alabama Legislature – now with Super Majorities – for the first time in 136 years.
In 2012, Michael returned to presidential politics, managing North Carolina for Romney for President – and winning the only target state in the 2012 election – and went on to serve as Regional Political Director during the Republican primary.
Notably, he served as a Regional Political Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee from 2013 – 2016 where he helped the GOP take back control of the U.S. Senate in 2014 and maintain that control two years later. Afterwards, he managed a U.S. Senate campaign and worked to elect veterans to every level of government.
Michael holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration from Auburn University. He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Vestavia Hills, Alabama with their children, Edward and Betsy. On Saturdays during the fall, you can find the Joffrions wearing orange and blue inside Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, cheering on their beloved Tigers.
